Inaugural Food and Wine festival, Taste of Townsville

On Sunday 12th September, 12 of Townsville’s Local Restaurants and businesses welcomed the inaugural Food and Wine festival, Taste of Townsville.

 

Restaurants participating in this event were The Salt Cellar, The Watermark, Table 51, Coffee Club The Strand, Wayne & Adele’s Garden of Eating, Essence, Cafe Bambini, JAM Corner, as well as A Spoonful of Sugar, Essentially Fresh, Butcher on Bundock and Ingham Road Seafood.

Ingham Road Seafood teamed up with Huon Aquaculture to create 2 Huon Salmon dishes, which from the popularity and feedback of the dishes, definitely didn’t disappoint.

National Award
Our first dish was a Barbequed Thai Style ‘Huon’ Salmon with Pickled Green Papaya and Nam Jim Dressing, which would also be great made with ‘Huon’ Ocean Trout as a supplement for the Salmon.

    Sixty lucky Townsville diners had their taste buds rocked when Ingham Road Seafood teamed up with restaurant A Touch of Salt to produce a seafood spectacular last month.

    The five-course gourmet feast was the first in a series that aims to introduce clients to new ways of eating fresh seafood products.

    Ingham Road Seafood will partner with head chefs from many of Townsville’s finest restaurants, as well as wine merchants, on a monthly basis to create the delicious menus.
